Get Paid to Train AI in 2026: Earn $5 to $50 Per Task

Nouman Lodhi Nouman Lodhi 20 min read
Get paid to train AI in 2026 and earn dollars per task

If you want to earn in dollars, but you do not have any skill, and you want to do work online, then this blog is for you.

In this blog, we discuss how you earn dollars through doing tasks. The tasks are AI related. You do not build AI. You teach AI, you check AI, and you fix AI mistakes. Some expert tasks pay 5 to 50 dollars per task. Most beginner tasks pay less than that, and I will tell you the real range for each app, so you do not get a shock later.

If you do this work well, you can earn a good amount of money every month. But it is not magic money. It is real work, on a computer, with your brain and your English. No degree is needed for many tasks. No client is needed. No investment is needed.

Read this full blog once. After that, you will not need to go to any other website. I will tell you what each app is, how much you earn on each task, the website link, how to create an account, where it works, where it does not work, and what to do if it does not work in your country.

All figures in this guide are before tax. Pay changes often, and work is not always available. A rate is not a promise of income. Your income depends on your test result, your quality, your country, and how much work is open that week.

What is AI training work, in simple words

AI is a computer program that learns from examples. It learns from people. You are that person.

Here is the work, in very simple words.

  • You read two answers from AI, and you pick the better one.
  • You write a good question for AI, so it can learn.
  • You check if an AI answer is true or false, and you fix the mistake.
  • You check AI code, and you say where the code is wrong.
  • You label a photo, draw a box around a car or a person, so a self driving car can learn.
  • You rate an AI voice, or you write a short chat, so AI can talk better.

You do not need to be a computer expert for most tasks. You need good English, you need to read carefully, and you need to be honest and accurate. If your work is sloppy, the platform will stop giving you work.

You work from home, on your own time. You are not an employee. You are a freelancer, an independent worker. That means no fixed salary, no fixed hours, and you pay your own tax.

What is AI training work in simple words

How much can you earn, the honest answer first

Do not believe any video that says every task pays 50 dollars. That is not true.

Here is the honest range, from the reports we checked in November 2026.

  • Basic image labelling: a few cents per task, often 1 to 3 dollars per hour in effect.
  • Toloka: often 2 to 5.50 dollars per hour.
  • Clickworker: often 4 to 10 dollars per hour.
  • CrowdGen by Appen: often 3 to 12 dollars per hour, some projects 10 to 20 dollars per hour.
  • Remotasks chatbot work: often 10 to 25 dollars per hour, LiDAR work 8 to 20 dollars per hour or more.
  • Outlier general work: often 15 to 25 dollars per hour, coding and specialist work 35 to 50 dollars per hour.
  • DataAnnotation general work: starts around 20 to 25 dollars per hour, coding from 40 dollars per hour, STEM and professional work from 40 dollars per hour and up.
  • Mindrift specialist work: reported 40 to 60 dollars per hour for law, medicine, coding, and finance, but general tasks pay far less, sometimes only cents per task.

So yes, some tasks do pay 5 to 50 dollars per task. Those are expert tasks, or long tasks that take an hour or more. A short basic task does not pay 50 dollars. You start low, you pass tests, you prove your quality, then you get the higher tasks.

Think of it like this. First month, you learn and you earn small. Second and third month, if your quality is high, you get better tasks and better pay. If your quality is low, you get less work, or no work.

Country table: where each app works and where it does not

This is the table most websites skip. I will not skip it, because this is where most people waste time.

The site says 50 plus countries, but it gives no full public list.No public list, so many countries are not confirmed. Most work goes to the 6 main countries. Not confirmed. Country lists change. A country can open and close when a client project starts or stops. Always check the sign up page on the day you apply. That page is the final answer, not this blog, not a YouTube video.

Do not use a VPN to fake your location. Outlier and DataAnnotation both treat VPN use as a problem, and they can ban your account for it. If your country is not on the list, use the solution in the section below, do not lie about where you live.

Where each AI training app works and where it does not work

1. DataAnnotation: the highest pay, the hardest test

Website: https://dataannotation.tech

DataAnnotation is run by Surge AI. It is the platform everyone talks about, because the pay is high and the work is steady if you pass.

What you do

You rate chatbot answers, compare two AI answers, fact check AI, write good prompts, and review AI code if you pick the coding track. There are also specialist tracks for law, finance, history, and science.

How much you earn on each task

  • General work: starts around 20 to 25 dollars per hour.
  • Coding work: from 40 dollars per hour, reported up to 150 dollars per hour for hard work.
  • STEM and professional work: from 40 dollars per hour and up.
  • Language work: often 20 to 40 dollars per hour.

You log your hours, you pick tasks from your dashboard, and you request a payout when your balance is over 5 dollars. Money is available after a 72 hour hold in many cases.

How to create an account, step by step

  1. Go to dataannotation.tech and click Apply or Get Started.
  2. Pick one track only. General, Coding, STEM, or Professional. Pick the one where you are truly strong.
  3. Fill in your profile. General work asks for a bachelor degree or the same level of real world experience.
  4. Take the Starter Assessment. It takes about 1 hour, 1 to 2 hours for specialist tracks.
  5. Wait for the result in your email, and check spam too.
  6. If you pass, do the free ID check when asked, with a photo ID and a selfie. Turn your VPN off.
  7. Take extra qualifications. They open more projects and more pay.

Pain points you must know

You can take the Starter Assessment only once. If you fail, you cannot retake it with the same email. So do it when you are fresh, in a quiet place, with no time pressure. Read every instruction twice. Do not rush.

The platform itself reports a 2.6 percent acceptance rate. That means most people fail. It is not because they are stupid. It is because they rush, or they pick the wrong track.

Payment is PayPal only, and your DataAnnotation email must match your PayPal email. If you are in Pakistan, that is a problem, because PayPal does not offer receiving accounts in Pakistan. See the solution section below.

Good: high pay, clean dashboard, work is often available if you pass. Bad: very hard test, one chance only, PayPal only, most work goes to the 6 main countries.

2. Outlier: the big company platform, steady if you get in

Website: https://outlier.ai

Outlier is run by Scale AI. Remotasks was its old name. Now Outlier is the expert version, for people who write, rate, and improve AI answers.

What you do

You write hard prompts, you build rubrics, you rate and rank AI answers, you check AI code and writing, and you fact check. Some projects are general, some are for maths, physics, coding, or creative writing.

How much you earn on each task

  • General work: often 15 to 25 dollars per hour.
  • Coding work: often 30 to 50 dollars per hour.
  • Specialist work: up to 50 dollars per hour in many listings.
  • Some open roles list only up to 8 to 18 dollars per hour, so check each role.

You see the rate before you start a project. Pay is mostly hourly, some projects pay per task, and there are mission bonuses on top.

How to create an account, step by step

  1. Go to outlier.ai and create an account with Google or LinkedIn.
  2. Add your resume, your LinkedIn, and your areas of expertise.
  3. Confirm your ID with a government photo ID, and a phone number from your country.
  4. Take the general onboarding, 30 to 90 minutes, then the skill screening.
  5. Pick a project, read its rules, and take its assessment.
  6. If you pass, start paid tasks.

Pain points you must know

You need at least an associate degree. Some projects need a bachelor, master, or PhD. You must be of legal working age, and you must be able to work legally in your country.

Work can stop without warning. Your project can end, and your account access can be removed. There is no clear appeal in many cases, and the terms allow the platform to hold pay in some cases. So do not depend on Outlier alone.

Payout is weekly, on Tuesdays, through PayPal, Airtm, or bank transfer, depending on your country. The minimum is often 5 dollars.

Good: big company, many projects, weekly pay, clear rate before you start. Bad: Pakistan is not on the list, degree is needed, work is not steady, account can be removed with no appeal.

3. Remotasks: the easiest to enter, the lowest pay for basic work

Website: https://www.remotasks.com

Remotasks is also run by Scale AI. It is for basic labelling work, not expert work. It is the best first step if you have no degree, but the pay for basic work is low.

What you do

You draw boxes around cars, people, and road signs in photos. You draw polygons around objects. You label 3D LiDAR data for self driving cars. You also rate AI chats and write short AI answers.

How much you earn on each task

  • Basic image annotation: often 1 to 3 dollars per hour in effect, some guides say 3 to 8 dollars per hour.
  • Polygon work: a bit more than basic boxes, often 0.10 dollars or more per task.
  • LiDAR work: 0.50 to 3 dollars per task, often 8 to 15 dollars per hour, some say 8 to 20 dollars per hour.
  • Chatbot training: often 10 to 25 dollars per hour.

Tasks take 30 seconds to 30 minutes each. You pick tasks from the queue, you submit them, and a reviewer checks them.

How to create an account, step by step

  1. Go to remotasks.com and sign up for free with your email. You must be 18 or older.
  2. Pick a task type, for example image annotation.
  3. Complete the free training course for that type. Training is unpaid.
  4. Pass the accuracy test at the end. You usually need 90 percent or more.
  5. If you fail, you can retake after a wait period.
  6. Start paid tasks from your dashboard. As your accuracy stays high, you unlock more types.

Pain points you must know

Training takes 2 to 4 weeks if you try many types. That is unpaid time, and many beginners get angry about it. It is normal on this platform, not a scam, but you must know it before you start.

Task work can dry up. Some days there is a lot of work, some days there is nothing. You cannot earn if there is no task in the queue.

Payment is weekly, through PayPal or Airtm. There is often no minimum, or a low minimum of 10 to 20 dollars, depending on your region.

Good: no degree needed, free to join, you can retake tests, good for beginners. Bad: low pay for basic work, unpaid training, work dries up, Pakistan access stopped in March 2024.

4. CrowdGen by Appen: the widest door, best for Pakistan

Website: https://crowdgen.com

CrowdGen is the new name for Appen crowd work. If you are in Pakistan, start here first, not with DataAnnotation or Outlier.

What you do

Search evaluation, fact checking, sentiment check, audio tasks, transcription, and labelling. The work is entry level, and the projects are tagged by country. Filter by Global to see what is open to all countries.

How much you earn on each task

  • Often 3 to 12 dollars per hour.
  • Some projects pay 10 to 20 dollars per hour.
  • Most tasks pay a few cents to a few dollars per task, depending on length.

How to create an account, step by step

  1. Go to crowdgen.com and create an account.
  2. Fill in your country, your language, and your skills.
  3. Pick a project that lists Pakistan or Global.
  4. Take the qualification exam for that project. Each project has its own exam.
  5. If you pass, start the project. If you fail, try another project.

Pain points you must know

Pay is modest, and you may wait weeks between projects. That is normal. Apply to many projects, not just one.

Payment is through PayPal, Payoneer, and bank transfer. That is why it works in Pakistan, because Payoneer works where PayPal does not.

Good: 200 plus countries, Pakistan yes, Payoneer works, low risk of wasted time. Bad: low to medium pay, waiting time between projects, entry level work only.

5. Mindrift by Toloka: expert work, Pakistan yes

Website: https://mindrift.ai

Mindrift is the expert platform from Toloka. It is for people who can write well, edit well, and check AI answers in a specialist field.

What you do

You write, edit, and check AI answers. Specialist tracks are in coding, law, medicine, and finance. General tasks are writing and checking.

How much you earn on each task

  • Open tasks: sometimes only a few cents per task.
  • Specialist work: reported 40 to 60 dollars per hour for law, medicine, coding, and finance.
  • General work: community reports put an average around 300 dollars per week when tasks flow, but that is not a promise.

How to create an account, step by step

  1. Go to mindrift.ai and create an account.
  2. Pick your skill, general, coding, law, medicine, or finance.
  3. Take the test for that skill. Be honest about your level.
  4. If you pass, you get open tasks and specialist projects.
  5. Submit your work, wait for quality review, which can take days to weeks.

Pain points you must know

Review can take up to 30 days before you are paid. That is slow, and you must plan for it.

Payment is every 2 weeks, through Payoneer. Pakistan is not on the exclusion list, so you can apply.

Good: Pakistan yes, Payoneer works, high pay for specialists. Bad: slow review, slow pay, open tasks pay very low, you need real skill for the high pay.

AI training apps that work in Pakistan

6. Toloka: simple microtasks, Pakistan yes

Website: https://toloka.ai

Toloka is one of the oldest microtask platforms. It works in Pakistan, and it is good for filling a spare hour, not for a full salary at first.

What you do

Image tagging, search evaluation, content review, surveys, and field tasks on the mobile app.

How much you earn on each task

  • Often 2 to 5.50 dollars per hour.
  • Most tasks pay a few cents each.
  • Typical earnings: 1 to 3 dollars per hour for most beginners.
  • Monthly, casual work can be 30 to 100 dollars, regular work 100 to 200 dollars, active work 200 to 300 dollars or more, reported by guides.

How to create an account, step by step

  1. Go to toloka.ai and create an account.
  2. Fill in your profile and your language.
  3. Pick a task, read the instructions, and do the training task.
  4. Pass the test for that task, then start paid tasks.
  5. Withdraw through Payoneer, Airtm, or Papara. Minimum payout is very low, often 0.02 dollars.

Pain points you must know

Pay is low per task, so you must do many tasks to earn well. Accuracy matters a lot. If your accuracy drops, you get fewer tasks.

Good: Pakistan yes, no degree, easy start, low minimum payout. Bad: low pay, repetitive work, you need many hours to earn a good amount.

7. Clickworker: data work and UHRS, Pakistan yes

Website: https://www.clickworker.com

Clickworker is a data work platform, and it is also a door to Microsoft UHRS, which is a big source of web check tasks.

What you do

Data categorisation, text work, search check, image work, and UHRS tasks like checking search results and ads.

How much you earn on each task

  • Often 4 to 10 dollars per hour.
  • UHRS tasks pay 0.02 to 0.15 dollars per task, but an experienced worker can do 100 to 300 tasks per hour.
  • Some projects pay 4 to 12 dollars per hour.

How to create an account, step by step

  1. Go to clickworker.com and create an account.
  2. Fill in your profile, and take two basic English tests.
  3. If you pass, you unlock UHRS.
  4. Pick UHRS tasks, read the rules for each task type, and start.
  5. Withdraw through PayPal, Payoneer, or bank transfer. Minimum is often 10 dollars or 10 euros.

Pain points you must know

UHRS tasks are country specific, so not every task is open in Pakistan. You must pass the English tests first, and you must follow the rules for each task, or your account can be blocked from UHRS.

Good: Pakistan yes, no interview, UHRS can pay well if you are fast and accurate. Bad: minimum payout is higher, some tasks are not open in Pakistan, work can be repetitive.

If your country is not on the list, what to do

Read this part carefully. This is the solution many people ask for, and I will tell you the safe way and the risky way.

Solution 1, the safe way: use the apps that work in Pakistan

Start with CrowdGen, Mindrift, Toloka, and Clickworker. They list Pakistan, and they pay through Payoneer, which works in Pakistan. You can withdraw Payoneer to your Pakistani bank, and then to Easypaisa or JazzCash in many cases.

This is the best first step. You earn less per hour, but you earn real money, with no risk of a ban for your location, and no risk of losing your money because of a PayPal problem.

Solution 2, the risky way people use: a friend or relative PayPal account

Many people in Pakistan do this. They contact a friend or a relative who lives in a country where PayPal works, for example the USA, UK, Canada, or UAE, and they ask that person to create a PayPal account, or to use their PayPal account, to receive the payment.

Here is how people do it, and here is the risk, in plain words.

  • The friend must be someone you trust fully, not a stranger from a group.
  • The friend must agree in writing, on WhatsApp or email, that they will receive the money for you and send it to you, and how much they will charge, if anything.
  • The PayPal name, email, and ID must match the platform account name. If the platform asks for ID, and the ID is your friend name, but the work account is your name, the platform can freeze the money and ban the account.
  • You must never lie about where you live. If the platform asks where you live, tell the truth. Using a VPN to fake your location is a ban reason on Outlier and DataAnnotation.
  • You must never share your platform password with anyone, and never share your friend password with anyone.
  • The friend will receive the money first, then they must send it to you through a legal way, for example Wise, Payoneer, or bank transfer. That can take time, and there can be a fee.
  • If the friend keeps the money, or if PayPal freezes the account, you can lose all your work money, and there is no appeal.

So, use this solution only if you have a very trusted friend or relative, you both understand the risk, and you accept that the money can be frozen. For most people, Solution 1 is better. Earn less, but earn safe.

If you want to work on DataAnnotation or Outlier from Pakistan, try to sign up first with your real country and your real details. If the site does not offer you a test, that means your country is not open for that project. Do not force it with a fake location. Move to the Pakistan apps, and try again in a few months, because lists change.

PayPal solution for Pakistan and apps that work in Pakistan

How to pass the test, step by step

The test is the main door. Most people fail here, not because they are weak, but because they rush.

  1. Pick one platform and one track only. Do not apply to 5 platforms on the same day.
  2. Read the official FAQ first. For DataAnnotation, read dataannotation.tech/faqs. For Outlier, read outlier.ai/faq.
  3. Take the test when you are fresh, in the morning, in a quiet room, with good internet.
  4. Keep a notebook and a browser open for fact checking, if the test allows it.
  5. Read every question twice. The test checks if you read carefully, not if you are fast.
  6. Write full, clear answers. Do not write one line when the task asks for a full reason.
  7. Check your grammar. A small mistake is okay, but many mistakes show low quality.
  8. Do not copy answers from AI or from Google. The test checks for that, and you can be banned.
  9. After the test, check your email every day, including spam. The result can take days.
  10. If you fail DataAnnotation, you cannot retake it with the same email. So take it once, and take it well. For Remotasks and Toloka, you can retake after a wait, so learn from your mistake and try again.

Scam warning: read this before you pay anyone

A real platform never asks you to pay to join. It never asks for a deposit, a training fee, or a starter kit. It never asks you to buy crypto to unlock work.

If a person on WhatsApp, Telegram, or Facebook says, pay 5,000 rupees and I will give you AI training work, it is a scam. Block them.

If a person says, I will give you a DataAnnotation account for money, it is a scam, and the account will be banned.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. Can I earn money training AI with no skills?

Yes, you can start with no degree and no coding skill on some platforms, but you still need good English, patience, and accuracy. Basic tasks pay low, often a few cents to a few dollars per task. Expert tasks in coding, maths, law, or medicine pay more, and some pay 5 to 50 dollars per task. Most beginners start low and move to higher tasks after they pass tests and prove their quality.

2. Which AI training app works in Pakistan?

CrowdGen by Appen, Mindrift by Toloka, Toloka, and Clickworker are the main options that list Pakistan as available and pay through Payoneer or bank transfer. Outlier does not list Pakistan in its 117 country list, and Remotasks stopped accepting Pakistan in March 2024. DataAnnotation publishes no full country list and pays PayPal only, and PayPal does not offer receiving accounts in Pakistan, so check your own account first.

3. How much can I earn per task training AI?

It depends on the task. Basic image labelling can pay a few cents to 3 dollars per hour in effect. Toloka tasks often pay 2 to 5.50 dollars per hour. Clickworker tasks often pay 4 to 10 dollars per hour. DataAnnotation general work starts around 20 dollars per hour and coding from 40 dollars per hour, Outlier general work is often 15 to 25 dollars per hour, and specialist tasks can reach 40 to 50 dollars per hour. These are reported rates, not a promise, and work is not always available.

4. Do I have to pay to join DataAnnotation or Outlier?

No. A real platform never asks you to pay to join, buy training, or pay a deposit. If a person on WhatsApp or Telegram asks for money to unlock AI training work, it is a scam. Join only on the official website.

5. Can I use my friend PayPal account if PayPal is not in my country?

Some people do this with a trusted friend or relative who lives in a country where PayPal works, but it is risky. The PayPal name, email, and ID must match the platform account, and if they do not match the platform can freeze your money and ban the account. Never lie about where you live, never use a VPN to fake your location, and never share your password. The safer option is to use an app that works in Pakistan and pays through Payoneer.

6. Why did I pass the test but get no work?

Passing the test only puts you in a pool. Work depends on client projects, your country, your language, and your skill. Sometimes there is no work for days or weeks. That is normal on these platforms. Apply to two or three platforms, keep your quality high, and do not depend on one platform for your full income.

Final words: start with the app that works for you

If you want to earn in dollars, but you do not have any skill, AI training work is a real door. You do not need a degree for many tasks. You do not need a client. You do not need money to start.

But you do need the right app for your country. If you are in Pakistan, start with CrowdGen, Mindrift, Toloka, or Clickworker. Earn your first dollars there. Learn the work. Then, when you are ready, try DataAnnotation or Outlier, with your real details, and with a clear payout plan.

Do not chase the 50 dollar task on day one. Chase the test pass on day one. Chase good quality every day. The higher tasks will come to the person who does good work, not to the person who rushes.

Start today. Pick one app from the table above. Create your account. Take the test when you are fresh. And tell us through our contact page what happened: https://micronirala.com/contact

Disclaimer: All figures in this guide are before tax. Platform rules, country lists, pay rates, and payout methods change often. Check DataAnnotation, Outlier, Remotasks, CrowdGen, Mindrift, Toloka, and Clickworker on the day you apply. This guide does not promise a fixed income, a test pass, or work every day. Your results depend on your test, your quality, your country, and how much work is open.
